Peter Grosskopf
CEO and founder of Zweitag. He studied Information Systems at the University of Münster and graduated with a master’s degree (MScIS). While at university, he worked as a freelance web engineer in a couple of projects for enterprise companies (such as Victoria/Ergo and Celesio) and Web 2.0 start-ups. Until the beginning of 2008, he worked as CTO for a Düsseldorf-based start-up. He also founded and developed his own start-up projects. Peter is responsible for operations such as strategy, business development, change management, recruiting and marketing/sales. As the major pragmatic thinker at Zweitag, he enforces principles from Rework, Getting Real and The Lean Startup and maintains them in group culture.
Julian Schneider
CEO and founder of Zweitag. Before founding Zweitag, Julian studied Information Systems at the University of Münster and worked as a developer and consultant for several medium-sized businesses.
Julian has 15 years of practical experience in enterprise architectures, custom software development and infrastructures, and 10 years of experience in entrepreneurship. He supervises Zweitag’s enterprise projects and manages operations, legal, finance and controlling.
Nicolas Dillmann
Software engineer and architect at Zweitag. Nicolas studied Information Systems at the University of Münster from 2003 to 2008, graduating with a Master of Science in Information Systems (MScIS) in 2008. He has been developing and designing web applications with Ruby on Rails for several years now. He also acts as a consultant to enterprise and start-up projects. Nicolas loves to experiment with new technologies, especially NoSQL, node.js and current technologies in the BigData and Business Intelligence sphere.
Thomas Hollstegge
Software developer and systems architect at Zweitag. Thomas studied Information Systems at the University of Münster and graduated with a Master of Science in Information Systems. He was a student intern at Zweitag when the company was founded in 2008. His focus lies on software development with Ruby on Rails, server management and the deployment and scaling of web apps. Thomas is a specialist for JRuby and the integration of enterprise applications.
Daniel Kirsch
Software developer at Zweitag. Daniel studied Mathematics at the University of Münster. He is interested in Ruby on Rails and dynamic and functional programming languages, such as Clojure, Scala and Haskell. He has been working with alternative database systems (NoSQL), such as CouchDB and MongoDB, for years. Due to his academic background, he is a specialist for statistical computations, pattern recognition and artificial intelligence.
Christian Peters
Project manager and software developer at Zweitag. Christian studied Information Systems at the University of Münster. He was the first intern at Zweitag and began working full time after graduation. Christian has specialized in front end development and usability engineering. He evaluates user stories from the user’s perspective to create useful and meaningful applications. Christian is also familiar with SEO, scalability and quality of web applications.
Heiko Zeus
Software developer at Zweitag. Heiko holds a diploma in Information Systems. Before working at Zweitag, he worked for a business intelligence company and he co-founded the legendary erstiVZ. Heiko started using Ruby on Rails in 2006. Thanks to his extensive experience, his focus lies on consulting and coaching.
Sam Figueroa
Software developer at Zweitag. Sam has years of experience in web development with Ruby on Rails and PHP and he is focused on e-commerce projects. Sam’s key areas are integration of custom APIs, ERP- and payment systems, search servers and code optimization.
Steffen Schildknecht
Software developer at Zweitag. Steffen graduated from the University of Münster with a Master of Science in Information Systems. He wrote his thesis at Zweitag on “Response Time Simulation of Multi-Tier Web Architectures for Testing Purposes demonstrated on the Ruby on Rails Framework”. His key areas are internationalization and localization of web applications, UI/UX design, Javascript and jQuery. He is interested in single-page web apps and backbone.js. Before developing web applications with Ruby on Rails, he worked with other frameworks and in ERP customization.
Till Breuer
Software developer at Zweitag. Graduated in mathematics from the University of Münster. He is working towards his doctorate while working part time. Before Zweitag, Till founded the e-commerce start-up fairix.
Michael Schäfermeyer
Software developer at Zweitag. Michael graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Münster and he is now in the master program. Before working at Zweitag, he lived in San Francisco for one year while working for Bleacher Report as a backend engineer. At Zweitag, Michael coaches customers on conceptual and technical aspects. Besides web development with Ruby on Rails and jQuery, Michael is interested in real-time systems based on node.js as well as scalability and caching strategies.
Sascha Korth
Software developer at Zweitag. Sascha studied Media Informatics at Hochschule Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. He wrote his bachelor thesis at Zweitag on developing a framework for continuous testing and quality assurance in established engineering processes.
Sebastian Kessler
Sebastian is a front end developer at Zweitag. Before joining the team, he spent six years working as a freelance web designer. His focuses are front end development and building templates with HAML, SASS and Compass. He likes design, travelling and climbing.
Martin Honermeyer
Martin studied Applied Computer Science at Münster University of Applied Sciences and graduated with a Bachelor of Science. During his studies, he worked at E-Learning-Academy. After graduating, he was the lead technical architect behind School Scout. Martin specializes in backend engineering using Ruby on Rails. Climbing is one of his favorite leisure activities.
Oliver Noack
Software developer at Zweitag. Oliver graduated with a diploma degree in Information Systems at the University of Münster. During his studies he founded a small company with his fellow student Ralph von der Heyden focusing on Ruby on Rails development. Before being an employee at Zweitag he worked for a business intelligence consultancy and gained experiences in several Data Warehousing projects.
Jonas Juchim
Software Developer at Zweitag. Jonas graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Münster. Before Zweitag, he worked as a student employee in an e-commerce start-up and he will continue studying the Master of Science in Information Systems in October 2013.
Max Walker
Frontend developer at Zweitag. Max studied computer science at the University of Münster and Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. He is currently a master student in interaction design. He is one of the creative minds in the team with a focus on front end development with technologies such as HAML, SASS, Compass and JavaScript/jQuery.
Klaus Fleerkötter
Software developer at Zweitag. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Fachhochschule Gelsenkirchen University of Applied Sciences. He is currently studying Information Systems in Münster to gain his master’s degree. Klaus has specialized on backend development. He is interested in pragmatic web architectures and mobile web apps. Before Zweitag, he worked for an ECM system provider developing backend software with Java EE and front ends with GWT.
Yasmin Schneider
Yasmin is a working student at Zweitag. She studied Media Management (B.A.) in Hamburg and worked in an IR/PR consultancy for three years during her studies. Yasmin is now doing her master’s degree in Communication Studies at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. She assists our team in all matters of internal and external communicational affairs.
Yannic Schencking
Software Developer at Zweitag. After his apprenticeship as an IT Specialist for System Integration, Yannic started studying Information Systems at University of Münster and Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He is about to finish his Bachelor degree this winter term.
Ann-Kristin Holzenkamp
Anki is a working student at Zweitag. She studied English and Spanish (B.A.) at the University of Münster. Currently, she is doing her master’s degree in European Culture and Economy at the University of Bochum. At Zweitag, Anki assists the team in matters of personal management.
Jan Bechstein
Software developer at Zweitag. Jan graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Münster. He wrote his thesis at Zweitag on the development of a regulation framework for software quality of web applications. He is currently on an internship at Platform45 in Capetown and will continue working at Zweitag and studying the Master of Science in Information Systems in April 2013.
Mila Frerichs
Software developer at Zweitag. Currently studying Geoinformatics at the University of Münster. Besides his interest in Ruby on Rails, he is interested in Data Analysis and web mapping. Mila loves sports, especially American Sports and plays Baseball and Softball in his spare time.
Christoph Hugo
Intern as Software Developer at Zweitag. After his apprenticeship as IT Specialist for Application Development, Christoph started studying Business Informatics at Münster University of Applied Science. He is about to write his Bachelor thesis at Zweitag and to finish this summer term.
